Hello! My name is Jillian Borynec and I am very excited to be teaching for another year at New Sarepta Playschool!
My husband and I moved to New Sarepta in 2009. We have two children, Keisha and Ethan and a dog named Atlas. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, and kayaking, as well as spending quality time with my family. I am very involved our community and actively contribute to several local boards and school councils.
I earned my Early Childhood Education Diploma from Lakeland College in June 2024 and am dedicated to furthering my professional growth through ongoing courses and workshops. I am passionate about fostering creativity and supporting children’s development through play and exploration, guiding them as they discover new concepts in the classroom.

I am excited to get to know each of you and your community, when I drive my big red van into town each day from Edmonton! I grew up on a farm in Southern Alberta near the mountains, and I now enjoy “farming” every inch of my yard in the city with fruit trees, veggies and lots of flowers. I live with my husband, Dave, my two big boys, Isaiah and Matty, our dog, Bonnie, and two funny little guinea pigs, Gerald and Jolene. I love being outside, camping or sitting around a fire, or walking in the trees with my dog and my family. I also love to cook, bake, and can things like jam with the foods I grow, and when it’s cold over the winter I love to listen to music, play games, and make crafts to decorate my house!
